A Review Of Pharmacological Activities Of Pagoda Flower Plant (Clerodendrum paniculatum L.)
Abstract
Pagoda flower (Clerodendrum paniculatum L.) is a plant that can be used as traditional medicine, it is easy to obtain and cultivate. This plant contains flavonoids, tannins, steroids, and terpenoids. This study aimed to examine the pharmacological activity of the Pagoda Flower plant (Clerodendrum paniculatum L.) from various articles collected. The method used was the literature study. Search online using Google Scholar, Pubmed with the keywords used in this search being the key "Clerodendrum paniculatum activity". After a search has been carried out and the data source obtained, the data is then reviewed to obtain the literature that will be used in the article. The Pagoda Flower Plant (Clerodendrum paniculatum L.) has pharmacological effects such as antiaging, antidiabetic, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anticancer, antihyperlipidemia, antibacterial, and antifungal. All parts of the Pagoda Flower plant contain flavonoids, tannins, steroids, and terpenoids which produce various pharmacological activities.
