Description Of Antibiotic Prescribing At Kimia Farma Sinindian Pharmacy Kotamobagu
Abstract
Antibiotic prescribing needs to be a concern in pharmaceutical services in pharmacies, because there are several problems, including less rational prescribing which results in resistance in patients, or inappropriate choice of antibiotics and so on. This study aims to determine the classes of antibiotics that are frequently prescribed and to determine the percentage of antibiotic prescriptions at Kimia Farma Sinindian Pharmacy, Kotamobagu. The type of research carried out was descriptive with retrospective data collection, namely recipe samples were taken from the period January-March 2020. The data obtained was presented in tabular form, as a percentage and narrated. The results of research on antibiotic prescribing at the Kimia Farma Sinindian Pharmacy in Kotamobagu show that the most frequently prescribed antibiotic prescription is the antibiotic Cefixime (Cephalosporin Group) at 43.43% (195 prescriptions) and the percentage of antibiotic prescriptions is 34.69%.
