Asupan Gizi Balita dan Kejadian Stunting Di Desa Kayumoyondi Kecamatan Tutuyan Kabupaten Bolaang Mongondow Timur
Abstract
Stunting is one of the malnutrition conditions related to past nutritional insufficiency so that it is included in chronic nutritional problems. Stunting is measured as nutritional status by taking into account the height or length, age and sex of the toddler. Stunting is a form of malnutrition which is characterized by an inappropriate height for age. This study aims to describe the nutritional intake of toddlers and the incidence of stunting in Kayumoyondi Village, Tutuyan District, East Bolaang Mongondow Regency. This research is a type of observational study with a cross-sectional study design. The number of samples is 33 toddlers. Data includes nutritional intake which was taken using a 24-hour recall and data on toddler characteristics using a questionnaire. Univariate and bivariate data analysis using the chi-square statistical test.The results of this study found 10 stunted toddlers with good energy intake > 80%, there were 1 toddlers and less energy intake <80% totaling 9 toddlers, and for good protein intake > 80% there were 8 toddlers who were stunted and for less intake <80% there were 2 stunted toddler. From the results of research on energy intake in toddlers in the good category >80% with a percentage of 42.4% and <80% with a percentage of 57.6%. Good protein intake >80% with a percentage of 78.7% and <80% with a percentage of 21.2%. In conclusion, there is a relationship between energy and protein intake with the incidence of stunting in toddlers. It is recommended for mothers of toddlers to pay attention to nutritional intake, and parenting patterns for eating toddlers.
