Hubungan Kondisi Lingkungan Kerja Dan Karakteristik Personal Dengan Stres Kerja Pegawai Rumah Tahanan Amurang Tahun 2018

Abstract

Working stress is a feeling of distress experienced by employees or workers in carrying out the work, which is influenced by the response of each individual and psychology, namely the consequences of any work environment activities that burden psychological or physical demands are excessive. Prison employees play a very important role in the service and guidance to the community and the targeted citizens themselves. This study aims to determine the relationship between work environment condition and personal characteristics with working stress of prison employment in Amurang. This research is an observational analytic study with crossectional method with the population of all Prison employees which amounted to 24 people, the sample is the total population, data analysis using chi- square. Result of Chi-Square test between physical condition of work environment (temperature, noise and lighting) showed significant relation where (p <0,05) while personal characteristic (education, working period) with work stress did not show significant relation (p> 0.05). It is suggested to Amurang prison in order to improve the quality of the environment in all workplaces for employees as an effort to prevent the occurrence of working stress.
