Abstract

Anemia is one of the most common public health problems worldwide. Adolescence is one group at risk of anemia. Research Objective To know the correlation between eating behavior with anemia and correlation of nutritional status with anemia, eating behavior relationship with anemia and protein intake with anemia in adolescent girls at SMP Krispa Silian South Minahasa regency. This observational analytic study with cross sectional design of data used is nutritional status, eating behavior, protein intake and anemia. The population is junior high school Krispa Silian Raya as many as 55 people. Research result; respondent's behavior is mostly bad (61,8%) Adequate protein intake (40%) and protein intake less (60%). Conclusion There was a significant correlation between respondents' eating behavior and protein intake the incidence of anemia in adolescent at SMP Krispa Suggestions need to be given nutritional education about the importance of good eating behavior such as breakfast habits, eating habits balanced diet to prevent the occurrence of anemia.
