Hubungan Ketersediaan Buah Dan Sayur Dengan Tingkat Konsumsi Pada Remaja Di SMPN 14 Kota Bengkulu Tahun 2017
Abstract
Adolescent consumption of fruits and vegetables are still many who do not meet the needs per day based on WHO recommendations in balanced nutrition guidelines that is 150 grams of fruit per day and 250 grams of vegetables per day. This study aims to determine the relationship of the availability of fruits and vegetables with the level of consumption in adolescents of junior high school 14 in Bengkulu City. This research uses analytic survey type research with cross sectional approach. Samples were taken as many as 60 people with simple random sampling technique. Data collection using questionnaires filled in by respondents and semi-quantitative FFQ interviews. The results showed that as many as 75.0% of students who consumed fruit meet 150 grams per day. For the type of fruit most often consumed by students is a medium banana. Meanwhile as many as 90.0% of students who consumed vegetables meet 250 grams per day. For the type of vegetables most often consumed by students is spinach. From bivariate result using chi-square test, there was a significant correlation between the availability of fruit at home and fruit consumption level (p = 0,000) and there was a significant relationship between vegetable availability at home and vegetable consumption level (p = 0,024). It is concluded that the consumption of fruits and vegetables in students of junior high school 14 in Bengkulu City is categorized well and the average availability of fruits and vegetables in the house is enough. It is suggested to parents to familiarize children consuming fruits and vegetables every day.
