REINFORCEMENT LEARNING OUTCOME METHODS AS AN EFFORT TO INCREASE GRADUATION RATE BY COMPETENCY TEST OF DIPLOMA III STUDENTS AT NURSING DEPARTEMENT MANADO HEALTH POLYTECHNIC
Abstract
Background: Nurses are professionals who provide nursing services to clients by their basic needs that are disrupted both actual and potential. Professional nurses need to have competence in accordance with the standards of competence that can be observed from aspects of knowledge, skills, attitudes in completing a job or task with a defined performance standards. The result of 2016, there are 51% students has passed it. The purpose of this study is to find out how the intervention of reinforcement learning outcomes in students to the results of tray out competence test students of Nursing Department, Manado Health Polytechnic. Methods: This type of research uses Quasy Experiment Pre and Post Test one group design by describing the influence of Reinforcement Learning Outcome to the percentage of graduation try out competence test of the students of Nursing Department Manado Health Polytechnic. Independent variables are Interest, IQ, EQ, SQ, Semester Achievement Index (IPS), Motivation, Reinforcement Learning Outcome and Dependent Variable is result try out Competency Test. The population is a third-grade student of Nursing Department, Manado Health Polytechnic who graduated in 2017 as many as 45 people and the sample is the total population. Respondents 30 people with inclusion criteria are registered as students of Nursing Department, willing and signed the research approval and follow this research to completion, while the exclusion criteria are students who are on academic leave, when the data collection concerned is not available due to permission or illness. Results: of Paired T Test Tests showed that there were differences in scores on all subjects before and after giving reinforcement (P <0.01). Conclusion: reinforcement learning outcomes with problem solving approch and real case can increase the results of try out competence test.
