KEANEKARAGAMAN BENTOS PADA MUARA SUNGAI TONDANO KOTA MANADO TAHUN 2013
Biological indicators are easy instructions for monitoring environmental pollution which is characterized by a decrease in species diversity indicates polluted river water quality . The purpose of this study was to determine the level of benthic diversity in Tondano estuaries in the Calaca Village . This study is a descriptive research is to describe the level of diversity Bentos In Tondano estuary in the city of Manado . The population in this study are benthic located in Manado City Tondano estuary with a length of 200 meters from the shoreline facing upstream . Samples were taken by purposive sampling at 5 stations with a distance of 200 meters observations from the river mouth to the square of the sampling method ( Quadrat Sampling ) with the size of 4mx4m . Each point samples were taken 3 times footage . The results showed that Tondano estuary has species diversity index 0.061 . This shows Tondano estuary in the category of heavily polluted due to having diversity index ( H ' ) < 1 according to the Shannon - Wiener.
